Costumed Character Booking Horror Stories

Hello, I'm Cheryl Jacobs and welcome to Kids Party Characters podcast. Thanks for tuning in and make sure you

subscribe to our iTunes station at Kids Party Characters. Today's podcast is going to be about booking disasters.

Often, I get women who call me who complain about other companies that they have booked before and what they order

is not what they were expecting to receive. One of the stories is from this woman, this sweet little Jewish woman

Tami who I am still friends with today. She books us every Hanukkah, every special event at Temple and all through

the year, and her story goes as follows. She says, not only did the costumes that the other company was sending them l

look scary and cheap, but what really did it for her was when she ordered Princess Elsa from Frozen, and what she got

was a girl who was maybe 16 years old, dressed in a summer dress with a long Rapunzel, a cheap, long Rapunzel wig.

I mean, when she contacted the company they said, "Well, Elsa is new and that's all we could come up with." Well, if

you don't have the character, don't send something out that's makeshift because this company is not about just the

money, it's about the children. At the bottom line, it's about the children and it's about making memories for the

children, and that's what it should be about.

Then, another story another woman told me that will probably resonate with me for the rest of my life is, she ordered

a Spiderman for her son's third birthday. It was his idol, and she was so excited to give him this gift for his birthday,

and the day of the party when she hears a knock on the door, she's excited, the kids are all excited, they run to the door.

She opens the door and what she gets is a man almost 50 years old with a beer gut and no mask and a red painted face.

Obviously, even though these kids are only the precious age of three, they still knew this was not the real Spiderman,

and what do you tell your kid, that Spiderman's older now and he drinks a lot of beer? I mean, come on. Really?

That's horrible.

Just, do your homework. Don't just get caught up in the emotion, because I know you want to give your child a special

day for his birthday or whatever the event is, but make sure you know what you're getting. You know, my company,

I've done my research. I've found beautifully handmade costumes. You will see all the exact photos of our costume on

our website, kidspartycharacters.com, and there's party pictures there. You're going to see, I have tons of references as

well.

Also, if running your own children's entertainment company is something that you would like to do, I have created a

membership site, so if you go to the website kidspartycharacters.com, click on members to learn more. I will teach

you from start to up and running how to run your own children's entertainment company, which will give you financial

freedom and you'll be able to run it through your home and spend more time with your family. No more commuting. I

Jewmanji

Jewmanji

Jumanji is an award winning children's book. A young Alan Parrish discovers a board game which magically brings him and his friends to the untamed jungle of Jumanji.

Later as an adult played by Robin Williams his friends try to outwit the games powerful forces in a comedic & magical adventure.

Today we have a remake of this masterpiece with the Rock as it's star.

My company Kids Party Characters has many repeat clients. One of my favorite is Tami who is the sweetest Jewish lady I ever met.

Every year at Hanukkah and at all their temple's special events she has us perform. Always requesting that I come personally. I have even attended her parties just to help out the characters I can't play like Moana to make sure the kids have the best experience.

I met Tami about 4 years ago when she called me explaining she had been hiring this other company but their costumes were cheap and a bit scary. She even requested Elsa from a company who sent her a girl only 16 years of age in a light blue summer dress and a Rapunzel wig. I wish I still had the photo. From this conversation we instantly bonded.

If anyone is my ideal client I would have to say Tammy is ranked #1. She even wrote us a beautiful review on our Google+ page @Google+ google.com/+KidsPartyCharactersNewYork_NewJersey_CT

If anyone needs a reference of the quality of our service Tami is a great contact.

Kids Party Characters YouTube Channel Launch

Hello. I'm Cheryl Jacobs, and welcome to our Kids Party Characters YouTube @ https://youtu.be/UuYMAszwnL4 We created this Chanel to inform as many people as we can about our company that brings so much joy to children across the globe.

Our company has been in business for 6 years. I started with my partner with 20 costumes and about two or three parties every weekend. And we now employ up to 70 costume actors at a time doing about 20 to 30 parties every weekend, 10 times the volume. Our business has now generated a six figure income.

We've created a membership site where I can teach you how to own your own children's entertainment company from start to finish, everything you're going to need to know, where to get the costumes, how to get clients, and how to get entertainers with the help of a casting director I have on staff. I created a video series for members that covers all of this and more.

You can run this business in your home and you can bring in six figures. However, it's not just about the money. It's more about the children. When they see their favorite character, their faces light up, and it's just a priceless feeling. And I wanted to share this feeling with the world.

Our YouTube channel will feature interviews from actors, repeat clients, and those who have helped us along the way. We're going to have interviews from actors who have been with us from the very beginning. We will also feature the ghostwriter who helped me with my book, All About the Experiences, from an 18-year-old mother living in poverty to where I am now, owning a six-figure children's entertainment company.

So stay tuned and you can learn how you can own your own children's entertainment company. Or if you're just looking to hire a character for your little one's birthday or special event, we can help you with that too. I'm Cheryl Jacobs, and thank you for watching. I hope you enjoy our show.

Beautiful faceprinting ideas for your child's party

Beautiful Facepainting Ideas for your child's party

Hiring a facepainter for your child's party is a great way to add excitement plus an adorable touch to see them as their favorite character or animal.

There's a nice range of ideas to choose from. You can choose from hiring an airbrush artist, a freelance artist to an artist who only does a simple cheek design.

For girls a princess, butterfly, Minnie Mouse or Hello Kitty are popular choices.

For the boys you can't go wrong with a Superhero, Ninja Turtle or a pirate.

Whatever you child decides seeing their faces light up when they see how they look is priceless.

At Kids Party Characters we have a select handful of artists who have attended face paining classes or even practiced on their nieces, nephews or younger brother & sisters. As well as face painting having a balloon artist is another fun choice to keep the children entertained.

So if you're looking to add that special touch by adding a face painter or balloon twister to your party give us a call.
